We
have gathered some party tips to help you be the best hostess
you can be! Our most important advice is: Have Fun!
-
Enter
the guests names as how they are related to the mom-to-be
or the baby (ex: Grandma Jenny, Aunt Amy, Uncle Joey, and
nicknames, etc.). How you enter their name during registration
is how it will appear in the party. Everyone will see the
guests names.
-
Occasionally
post new messages to the party. Possibly updates in the
pregnancy (how mom is feeling, babys name, doctors
trips, etc.)
- Post
pictures of the mom-to-be as the party continues. If she receives
gifts during that time, have her take a picture and post.
Pictures of a sonogram, moms belly, the nursery, are
all fun for the guests to view. Be creative what do
you think your guests would like to see?
- Send
out reminder notices to the guests who haven't attended to
encourage their participation. To do this, access your admin
section and re-write your invitation text to reflect the new
message.
- We understand
that some of your guests may not check their e-mail everyday
and some may not have an e-mail account. So, our solution
is to offer you a printable version of your invitation. You
can print the invitation and mail it to your guests.
- Keep
guests informed on the pregnancy by using the party page as
a "Labor Announcement". If mom agrees, then announce
to guests that labor has begun. Send out another round of
invitations to invite guests to read the updates on labor
and birth.
- After
the birth of the baby, post the baby's picture and write birth
details on the party page. If the mom would like a link to
the hospital's website or any other site, put that link on
the party page as well. Then, send an invitation to your guests
to visit her party page again. This is a great way to close
out the party and gives the guests a glimpse of her baby!
