A: To
invite this person, we recommend that you use the printable
version of your invitation and mail it to him/her. Go to their
public library for access to the Internet, possibly go to
a Cyber Café in their city, or ask friends for use
of their computer. For a listing of cafés, please visit:
http://www.cybercafe.com
Q:
I've tried to invite two people that have the same email address.
Why can't I add the second guest?
A: The
system let you put the first guest in, but didn't allow the
second because it read it as a duplicate guest. Since each
guest is tracked by their email address inside of the party,
each guest needs to have his/her own email address. This is
their user name. We can assist you with obtaining an email
address for your guests. Please contact us at support@mommyparty.com
for assistance.
A: You
will know that our system sent the invitations when at least
one person has attended the party or received their invite.
If you think a few guests have not received their invitation,
then it is most likely on the User's end. Either their inbox
was full or, in most of these cases, they have a spam filter
that won't let it in. You may want to contact this guest by
phone and give them their party ID and instructions on logging
into the party page. Before doing that, you may want
to:
Check
the spelling on the e-mail address. Sometimes, while entering
many e-mail addresses, a few can be misspelled. If the spelling
is OK, then check with the guest to make sure that particular
e-mail address is still valid. You may need their updated
address.
Q:
Who can close down a Mommy Party?
A: If
a request to end the party prematurely is received by our
support team, we are required to contact the person who purchased
the Mommy Party. The hostess is able to close the party at
any time by using her administrative tools on the party page.
Q:
Is it OK to host a baby shower for someone who is having her
second child?
A: Of
course it is! Every baby is special and every pregnancy is
just as challenging as the previous one. Certain baby items
probably will not be re-used such as: soiled bibs and clothes,
bottles, burp cloths, diapers, diaper wipes, pacifiers, etc..
Since being pregnant and taking care of her other children
can be draining, the mom-to-be could use some baby-ing herself!
Q:
How do I add more guests to the party?
A: Go
to the party page and click on "admin area" at the
top of the screen. It is in this area that you will find the
controls to add more guests. You can invite an unlimited number
of guests.
Q:
How do I post the mom-to-be's digital picture?
A: The
mom-to-be or the hostess can add pictures. Once on the party
page, click on your admin tools at the top of the page. A
window will pop up. Select "post pictures". You
can post up to ten pictures. The last one added to the list
will appear on the party page. Once guests click to enlarge
that picture, they can scroll through the other pictures.
Q:
Where is my hostess administrative area? What is it?
A: Only
the host and mom-to-be will be able to access the administrative
controls over their party. Log into the party page. At the
top of the page you will see a link reading "admin area".
Click there. A window will pop up with many functions. Edit
invitation text, print off invites, edit, delete, or add more
guests, end the party, and more.
Q:
Can the gift registry link directly to my personal registry?
A: The
gift registry links that appear on the party page will connect
to the selected store's website. To direct your guests to
the mom-to-be's personal registry, please provide the information
next to the banner on the party page.
